I love the colors in this 18,000 stitches throw blanket. It is stunningly beautiful! Would you believe that this is a throw made by someone as a first project? This 18,000 Stitches throw-sized afghan made by Kristine of Kristine In Between, is an easy project. So easy, you wouldn't believe it. She's giving away for free her very simple pattern and the source for random stripes design on her blog. If you need help with the double crochet stitch, please go to the next page to watch the video tutorial I chose for you.

      1. Brenda, sorry , the link was broken. Please click the words:18,000 Stitches to get to the pattern’s page. It’s working now. Thanks!

  1. It would be pretty challenging to someone just learning or to my 8 year old who is just learning. It will be the most beautiful blanket I’ve ever seen. What’s easy for one isn’t always easy for the other. Maybe something you should remember.

  2. Mia Cotto Even if a TEENAGER made a double crochet blanket as a first project, it would be beautiful as well, but considering the caliber of the other designs this site offers, this is the ultimate in “meh”. And … if your eight year old has enough tenacity to complete a double crochet blanket (that she doesn’t lose interest in the project long before its half finished), I’ll give you AND her “props”.
