Today, we’ll be crocheting this flower storage basket.

Here’s what we’ll need:
Metallic cotton yarn and a 2.0mm crochet hook.

Let’s get started!

First, we’ll crochet the flower center.
Take a lighter-colored yarn to start the center.
For the center, we’ll start with a magic ring.
First, chain one or two chains (not counted as stitches).
Then, into the ring, we’ll crochet 15 double crochets (dc).
Go ahead and finish the 15 dc.

After completing the 15 dc, tighten the ring and slip stitch (sl st) into the first dc.
Then, chain 1 and cut the yarn.

For Round 2, we’ll switch to a darker yarn.
Now, let’s start Round 2.
First, pull out the yarn tail.
For Round 2, we’ll work into the same spot where we cut the yarn.
Pull the yarn through.

Chain 3 (counts as 1 dc).
In the same stitch, crochet another dc.
Round 2’s pattern: In each stitch, crochet a set of dc increases (2 dc per stitch).
That means 2 dc in each stitch.
This is Round 2’s pattern.
Complete 15 sets to finish Round 2.

After finishing the 15 sets, sl st into the third chain of the starting ch-3.
Then, Round 3 is where we start the petals.
Chain 1 to start.
In the same stitch, crochet 1 single crochet (sc).
In the next stitch, crochet 1 half-double crochet (hdc), then 1 dc in the same stitch.
Then, in the next stitch, crochet 2 treble crochets (tr).
In the next stitch, crochet 3 tr.

After the 3 tr, in the next stitch, crochet 2 tr.
Then, in the next stitch, crochet 1 dc, and 1 hdc in the same stitch.
This completes one petal.
Repeat this 5 times (since there are 5 petals).

This is one petal. For the next petal, follow the same pattern:
Start with 1 sc.
In the next stitch, 1 hdc, then 1 dc in the same stitch.
Next stitch: 2 tr.
In the next stitch, 3 tr in the same stitch.
Next stitch: 2 tr.
Then, in the next stitch, 1 dc, and 1 hdc in the same stitch.

I’ve demonstrated 2 petals—finish the remaining 3 on your own.
After the last petal, sl st into the first sc.
Chain 1 to start.

For Round 4, crochet 1 front post sc (FPsc) around each stitch’s post.
Work FPsc in every stitch. Don’t skip any.
Complete a round of FPsc.
Okay, finish Round 4 on your own.

After Round 4’s FPsc, sl st into the first sc and chain up.
Chain 3 (counts as 1 dc).
Round 5’s pattern: 1 dc in each stitch.
After completing the round, sl st into the first dc.
Weave in the ends and cut the yarn.
Finish Round 5 (the final round) on your own.
