Tips Before You Start
- Gauge is not critical for this project — the designer says so right in the pattern notes. Just use the hook that feels comfortable with your yarn and adjust the foundation chain to your preferred size.
- Row 1 is all double crochets. Every other row will also be entirely double crochets. That alternation is what gives the blanket its texture.
- You can add a border when you’re done to personalize it — a simple single crochet border all the way around works great.
- Caron Simply Soft or any aran weight acrylic works perfectly. Machine washable is always a good choice for baby items.
