Where these stitches come from
When I was a little girl, the women in my family could make anything by hand. My mom sewed my dresses from her own old dresses, and my auntie crocheted dresses for me. In the evenings, the women from my grandma’s village came to her house for a șezătoare: they sat together, worked with their hands and sang.
This bundle holds the stitches I remember from my mom, my sister-in-law and her sister-in-law. I don’t know which stitch came from whom. I only know that I know them. It is my little tribute to them.
Every stitch is made from basic stitches like single and double crochet, so anyone who can hold a hook can make them. The “beginner” thing is just in your mind.
