Many crochet stitches are beautiful but this one is really special. Interesting and elegant, this pattern can be used to create a baby blanket or a large afghan with ease. Add a new crochet stitch to your repertoire with this Vibrant V Square by Danyel Pink. This is the perfect pattern to use to crochet a snuggle-worthy afghan.


This lovely, openwork afghan square is super quick to stitch, and is a great stash-buster project. Change colors every 2 rows to create a lovely, colorful afghan.

The instructions are for a 12” square, but you can make ANY size square. You could even repeat the pattern endlessly to create a large afghan!

  1. I would love to have this pattern but I don’t know how to get it. I am still able to use my right hand and hold few things with my left. When your Uncle Herb and I were first married, I knitted and crochet several sweaters for him. Never did get my dress finished. Lol

  2. Thanks for this one DailyCrochet.com. I was looking for something a bit different to the classic granny square to use up some of my ‘leftovers’. Now I just need to do one square and then undo it to work out just how many ‘arm yards’ I need for each round. 🙂 Merry Christmas.
