Break up the color monotony with this gorgeous blanket pattern. This Ten Stitch Blanket Crochet Pattern, courtesy of Dedri, the so talented creator of Look What I Made, is the crochet version of the so popular Knit Ten Stitch Blanket by Frankie Brown. The crochet version comes with a full set of instructions. Read the details below.
For those of you who have never seen (or heard of) the Ten Stitch Blanket, let me break it down for you:
The Ten Stitch Blanket is worked in a spiral (or “rounds of rows”) around a central square of 10 stitches by 10 rows. The beauty of the project is that the short rows (10 stitches per row, less on the corner rows) propel you forward like you wouldn’t believe and it is the perfect pattern for using up any and every scrap of yarn in your house.
This is a very easy pattern and you should have the different sections memorized by the time you have done a couple of “rounds of rows”.
US Crochet Terminology used.
You can use any thickness of yarn and the appropriate hook for your chosen yarn thickness. It just depends on how fine or bulky you want your finished blanket to be.
You can also use any yarn you fancy. Variegated yarn and hombre-type yarns are my favourite.
Gauge is not important as such, but if you are going to use different thicknesses of yarn, you will need to work up your own gauge square and then adjust your hook accordingly when you swap yarn thicknesses. If you do not do this, you’re going to end up with one wonky-looking blanket.

This is one of them. This one is well written with great photos. There is also on in Tunisian crochet out there. And I know someone did a video that i have seen too.
