We all love penguins. They are one of the most loved creatures in the world. Could it be because of their ready-to-go outfit? They look like they are ready to classic party any time! Or maybe because of the way they walk? Adorable! Now, when you add a pom pom hat to a little penguin it suddenly changes everything.
Do you remember Chilly Willy, the funny animal cartoon character? This little crochet penguin with pom pom hat looks exactly like Chilly Willy! Don’t you smile yet?
This crochet amigurumi pattern is great for an intermediate level, that means you must know the basics of crocheting.
Note:this pattern does not contain basicinstructions for crocheting and knittingtechniques or making pompoms.
The diameter of a 36 sts (starting rnd + 5 rnds) basic
circle is ca. 5 cm (2”). A small variation in the gauge is
ok, but if the fabric of your amigurumi is much too
loose, stuffing it will be difficult (the fabric will pull
apart and the stuffing will show between the stitches).
Stitches usedSingle crochet (sc) in a continuous spiral following theinstructions. Do not join rnds. The eye areas are crocheted as treble crochet (tr).
The toes on the feet are double crochet bobble.
General instructionsUnless mentioned otherwise, all pieces are fastenedoff by cutting the yarn and pulling it through the loop.Leave a long tail that can be used for sewing thepieces together.

eg. Sandnes Smart Superwash, ca. 50g (1 skein)
