Some hanging ornaments have symbolic meanings for the spirit of Christmas. Some other Christmas tree ornaments will only have joy, with no spiritual meaning attached, only the happiness of the heart and soul. Crochet Snowman Ornament Free Pattern

What you\'ll need:
4-ply worsted weight yarn in white, red and black (I used Caron Simply Soft Party and am NOT sponsored by them)
size H (5mm) crochet hook
thread and needle
scissors
PolyFil
3D fabric paint (puffy paint) in black, orange, red and green
ribbon or cording for hanging

Body:
R1: in a magic ring or 2nd ch from a beg ch2, 6sc, Join in first sc, ch1, here and throughout (6 sts) (2:16)
R2: 2sc in each st of previous rnd. Join. (12 sts) (4:35)
R3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st* around (6 times). Join. (18 sts) (5:17)
R4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts* around (6 times). Join. (24 sts) (6:15)
R5-8: sc in each st around. Join. (24 sts) (7:08)
R9: *2 sc tog, sc in each of next 2 sts* around (6 times). Join. (18 sts) (7:50)
R10: *2 sc tog, sc in next st* around (6 times). Join. (12 sts) (9:58)
R11: 2 sc tog around. Join. (6 sts) (10:52)
R12: 2 sc in each st around. Join. (12 sts) (12:29)
R13: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st* around (6 times). Join. (18 sts) (13:15)
R14-15: sc in each st around. Join. (18 sts) (14:00)
R16: *2 sc tog, sc in next st* around (6 times). Join. (12 sts) (14:21)
Fill or stuff body with PolyFil or stuffing of choice.
R17: 2 sc tog around. Join. (6 sts) (16:15)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Scarf: (19:13)
sc chainless foundation of 25 (OR: ch 26, sc in 2nd st from hook and in each stitch to the end). Fasten off. Attach 3 pieces of additional yarn to each end for fringe. Trim off excess. Tie around snowman body.

Hat: (23:10)
R1: in a magic ring or 2nd ch from a beg ch2, 6sc, Join in first sc, ch1, here and throughout (6 sts) (23:30)
R2: 2sc in each st of previous rnd. Join. (12 sts) (24:47)
R3: sc in each stitch around in BACK LOOPS ONLY (12 sts) (25:08)
R4-6: sc in each stitch around (12sts)
R7: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st* around in FRONT LOOPS ONLY (6 times). Join. (18 sts) (26:30)
R8: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts* around (6 times). Join. (24 sts) (27:24)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Sew hat onto top of body and attach hanger with thread or cording. Using puffy paint, paint on eyes, carrot nose, mouth, front buttons, holly leaves and berries.
