Larksfoot Stitch is a unique looking stitch and so very pretty and you will be surprised how easy this stitch is. This is another nice and creative pattern you can use to make different projects while taking long trips or while your in bed watching TV. For this pattern you'll need a chain multiple of four. You'll also need to know how to do the double crochet and chain stitch to be able to work this stitch. This stitch is great for baby blankets, blankets, scarves and afghans.

Watch the video below, courtesy of Teresa from Crochet Geek and learn how to easily crochet Larksfoot stitch. If you're left handed, watch Teresa's video tutorial here: Larksfoot Crochet Pattern Stitch Left Hand Tutorial .
This pattern is working with double crochet. The stitches are staggered on the edges. If you're  looking to make a baby afghan, Teresa has a very documented pattern on her site. Pattern chart, written directions and video tutorials are provided. Learn more about these on the next page.

Larksfoot stitch is a great alternative to having a simple stripped afghan. If you're looking to make a baby afghan, you can find the written pattern on Teresa's site: Larksfoot Crochet Pattern Stitch – Baby Afghan.

This pattern is written so you can create an afghan of any size and use any weight yarn. The sample is medium worsted yarn with an I hook.
