Colleen designed it as a Power Hour project, meaning you can crochet multiple dishcloths in under an hour. The name comes from the way the stitch texture looks — once you see it worked up, you will understand immediately.

The pattern works in multiples of 4. A starting chain of 21 gives you a standard-sized dishcloth. Just two alternating rows make up the stitch repeat — once you find the rhythm, it practically flies off the hook.

Tips Before You Start
- Use 100% cotton yarn for best results. It holds its shape and washes much better than acrylic for kitchen use.
- The sc 2 together stitch creates the pretty texture. Watch the video if it is new to you — it clicks fast once you see it done.
- A starting chain of 21 gives you a nice dishcloth. A chain of 181 makes a full throw blanket using the same stitch.
- This pattern also works as a scarf! Colleen herself made one using a longer starting chain — the texture is gorgeous in a scarf too.
