The assembly tutorial is also included.
So cute and wobbly!
Currently using Susan's Home 4-ply cotton yarn for the main body.
Round 1: Magic ring.
Pull the yarn through the ring, chain 1 (does not count as a stitch).
Crochet 8 single crochets into the ring.
Tighten the ring.
Slip stitch into the first single crochet, chain 1.
Start Round 2.
Round 2: 8 single crochet increases.
Meaning, crochet 2 single crochets into each stitch around.
Slip stitch into the first single crochet, chain 1.
This is needed for every round.
This won't be repeated later.
Round 3: First stitch, single crochet.
Second stitch, single crochet increase.
These two stitches form one set. Repeat 8 sets total.
Round 4: First stitch, single crochet.
Second stitch, single crochet increase.
Third stitch, single crochet.
These three stitches form one set. Repeat 8 sets total.
Round 5: First, crochet 3 single crochets.
Fourth stitch, single crochet increase.
These four stitches form one set. Repeat 8 sets total.
Round 6: First, crochet 2 single crochets.
Third stitch, single crochet increase.
Fourth stitch, single crochet.
Fifth stitch, single crochet.
These five stitches form one set. Repeat 8 sets total.
After slip stitch and chain 1 for Round 7,
into the same stitch as the slip stitch,
crochet 2 half double crochets.
Yarn over, insert hook into stitch,
pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook.
Skip the next stitch, work on the third stitch.
Slip stitch, chain 1.
Again, into the same stitch as the slip stitch, crochet 2 half double crochets.
Then, skip one stitch again.
Do not crochet into the next stitch, slip stitch into the following stitch, chain 1.
Crochet 2 half double crochets.
Repeat this pattern until the end of the round.
After finishing the round, slip stitch into the first set, then cut the yarn.
Turn to the back side.
Using a tapestry needle, pick up the front loop (or specified loop) on each side and whip stitch/slip stitch them together.
Weave in the ends along the stitches a few more times.
You need to crochet 3 pieces total.
First, sew on the facial expression.
For arms and legs: Start with a foundation chain.
Arms: Chain 8.
Legs: Chain 10.
Leave a long tail directly and cut the yarn.
Hands and feet crocheting:
Round 1: Magic ring.
Crochet 6 single crochets into the ring.
Tighten the ring.
Slip stitch into the first stitch, chain 1.
Start Round 2.
Round 2: 6 single crochet increases.
While crocheting, incorporate the arm (chain) into the round.
Place it behind the stitches and crochet over it.
An increase is 2 single crochets in one stitch.
Take the other end and crochet over it as well.
This way, the cord won't pull out.
Slip stitch into the first stitch, chain 1.
This is needed for every round.
This won't be repeated later.
Rounds 3-4: 12 single crochets per round.
Round 5: 6 single crochet decreases.
Pick up the front loop (or specified loop) of the first and second stitches.
Combine them into one stitch to make a decrease.
Demonstrating once more:
Pick up the front loop of the third and fourth stitches, combine into one stitch.
This is the second decrease.
Finish the remaining 4 decreases yourself.
Slip stitch into the first stitch.
Leave a tail and cut the yarn.
Using a tapestry needle, gather the opening by skipping one stitch and picking up the front loop of the next.
Tighten, then weave the yarn back and forth a few times to secure it.
Crochet a chain of suitable length.
This will be the hanging cord. The method is the same as for the hands and feet.
Sew it onto one of the white pieces.
Sew the other end to the same position (on the other side?).
First, apply some glue in the center to fix the central position.
For the other piece, also fix the center first.
Be careful not to let the facial expression become crooked.
Sew the area below the expression onto the white piece.
Attach the legs.
Sew the remaining parts also onto the white piece.
Finally, apply a small amount of glue to adhere the edges.
Use a small amount, multiple times.
Using too much glue will cause it to seep out.
