Crochet market bags are great if you go to the Farmers Market or even to the groceries store. One of my friends just got a crochet market bag as a gift for his birthday a few days ago and he loved it so much! I felt inspired to look for some great-looking bags with free patterns that I can share with you so you can make your own crochet bags or maybe gift a friend as well.
Now, different yarns work better with different projects, some people like acrylic yarn, and some people prefer cotton yarn because of its lack of elasticity.
Depending on your preferences, choose the model that fits your taste and needs and have fun with this project.
Oh, and one more thing: if you need a great video tutorial to help you get started quickly you'll find a “How to make a crochet market bag” at the end of this list. Enjoy!

Sugar N Cream yarn is a cotton yarn and Caron Simply Soft is acrylic. For some projects, some people prefer a cotton yarn because of its absorbency or it's lack of elasticity. Different yarns work better with different projects, but you could easily use an acrylic yarn with this pattern. The only concern I'd have with Caron Simply Soft in this instance is that I find it to stretch more than some other yarns so you'd want to be careful especially with the strap to make sure you work the stitches very tight.
