This piece of American Folk Art is the culmination of 67 years of off and on work. My Granny worked very hard to complete bed spread, be to sure to share this video to keep this memory alive!
Pattern, described in the video at 2:50 she starts to explain how to do the pinwheel chain of 12 to make a circle 24 dc dc chain 2; 5 dc in one spot; chain 2; then into second .. 5 dc into the one hole … hook the first and last together to make the popcorn stitch chain 5 (6 popcorns in first row) first 1, then 2, then 3, 4, 5, in a row then decrease : 4, 3, 2, 1, at about 6:00 dc, then 3 in between each one .. dc and 3 chain == lattice work corners: 3 triple crochets and chain 5 and then 3 triple crochets then all the pinwheels are crocheted together instead of sewing together (Courtesy of Debbie Pribele)
