This crochet wisteria charm is a pretty little project made from tiny flowers worked one after another along a chain, so each strand hangs like a real wisteria cluster. Tie three strands together, add a lace and leather-cord bow, and you can hang it from your car mirror as a car charm, pin it on as a brooch, or glue a hair clip or hair tie to the back.
Watch the video, then use the written steps below. They are the video’s own subtitles, word for word, so you can follow along at your own pace.
What You’ll Need
Yarn: the video uses soft yarn in wisteria shades (purple, white, orange and yellow strands appear in the finished pieces). Only small amounts are needed, so it is a nice way to use up leftovers.
Hook: a 2mm crochet hook, as used in the video.
You’ll also need: lace ribbon, leather cord and glue for the bow, plus scissors. Add a hair clip or hair tie if you want to wear it.
Shop the supplies: pastel cotton yarn · 2mm crochet hook · lace ribbon · leather cord · fabric glue · hair clips

Wisteria Charm Tips
- Keep the loops even. The video pulls each loop up to about 1 cm before the cluster stitches, which keeps every little flower the same size.
- Make all the flowers first. Each strand is a run of flowers joined by chains, so finish the strands before you start on the bow.
- Mix your shades. Purple and white look like classic wisteria, while yellow and orange give a sunny version, as in the video.
- Let the glue set. Hold the flowers on the bow for a moment, then leave the charm flat until the glue is dry before you hang it.
