Mushroom Stem Instructions:
- Round 1: Make 6 single crochets (sc) in a magic ring. Tighten the ring and slip stitch (sl st) into the first sc.
- Round 2: 6 sc increases (2 sc in each stitch). Sl st into the first stitch, chain 1 (ch 1).
- Note: Always sl st and ch 1 at the start of each round (won’t be repeated).
- Round 3: (1 sc, 1 increase) x 6 (6 sets total).
- Rounds 4–5: 18 sc per round.
- Round 6: (1 sc, 1 decrease) x 6.
- Decrease method: Pick up front loops of 2 stitches and merge into 1.
- Rounds 7–10: 12 sc per round.
- Round 11: 12 sc in back loops only (half of stitch farther from you).
- Round 12: Normal 12 sc.
- Round 13: (1 sc, 1 decrease, 1 sc) x 3.
- Rounds 14–15: 9 sc per round.
- Round 16: After sl st and ch 1, ch 1 again. Then, 9 double crochet (dc) increases (2 dc per stitch).
- Round 17:
- 1st stitch: 1 dc.
- Next 17 stitches: dc increases (2 dc per stitch).
- Sl st into first dc, leave long tail for sewing.
