Supplies Needed
- Yarn: Two colors (one for leaves/stem, one for flowers)
- Crochet hook (appropriate size for your yarn)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Stuffing (and optional pebble for weight)

Step 1: Crochet the Leaf Garland
- Foundation
- Start with a slip knot and ch 14.
- Leaf
- Dc in the 4th ch from hook.
- Ch 1, picot, ch 3, sl st to complete the first leaf.
- Repeat
- Ch 3, dc, ch 1, picot, ch 3, sl st to form the next leaf.
- Repeat until you have 5 leaves. (Each leaf is separated by ch and picot; repeat for a total of 5.)
- Continue
- Repeat the leaf row as needed for length:
- After each row, ch 9, dc in the 4th ch, repeat steps as above.
- Make 5 leaves per row, until you reach the desired length.

Step 2: Transition to Flower Yarn
- Join New Color
- After last leaf row, change to flower color yarn.
- Sl st into the 3rd space of the previous row.
- Cut leaf yarn, join flower yarn with a slip knot, and secure both tails with a knot.
- Trim and Tidy
- Trim yarn tails.
Step 3: Crochet Flower Petals
- First Flower Row
- Ch 6, dc in the 4th ch from hook.
- Repeat method used for the leaves (ch, picot, sl st) to create petals.
- Work 5 petals in this row. After finishing, sl st into the 3rd space.
- Second and Third Flower Rows
- Ch 6, dc in 4th ch.
- For the second flower row, make 4 petals. Third row, make 3 petals.

- Even Rounds
- Rounds 5-6: Dc in each st (48 sts per round), sl st to finish each round.
- Decrease Rounds
- Decrease round 1: (2 dc, dc dec) repeat, ending with 36 sts.
- Decrease round 2: (1 dc, dc dec) repeat, ending with 24 sts.
- Decrease round 3: Dc dec in each pair, ending with 12 sts.
Step 5: Stuff and Finish Base
- Stuff and Close
- Before fully closing, add stuffing and optional pebble for stability.
- Sl st to close, leaving long tail.
- Close Hole
- Use a tapestry needle to pick up the front loop of each remaining st, pull to close.
- Secure and Tidy
- Secure the yarn, weave in tail.
Step 6: Assemble and Arrange
- Prepare Stem and Flowers
- Arrange the finished leaf and flower garland artfully.
- Attach to Soil
- Sew or fix stem to the soil base with your tapestry needle.
- Display
