How To Use Stitch Studio

How to Use Stitch Studio

How to use your crochet & knitting companion

Stitch Studio is a row counter, project tracker, and yarn stash all in one. Keep your place in any pattern, save photos of your makes, and remember exactly what yarn you have on hand. Everything saves automatically — there's no login and no save button.

🧶 Creating a project

On the Projects tab, tap + New Project. Give it a name, choose your craft (crochet, knitting, or other), and optionally add your hook or needle size. Tap Create and it appears as a card.

Tap any project card to open it.

🔢 Using the counters

Inside a project you'll see a big Rows counter. Tap + to count up and to count down.

  • Add counter — track separate things like repeats, increases, or color changes.
  • Rename a counter by tapping its name.
  • Counts by — set it to step by 2, 5, etc. instead of 1.
  • resets a counter to zero · 🗑 removes it.

🏷️ Tracking status

Use the dropdown inside a project to mark it Planning, In progress, or Finished. The status shows right on the project card so you can see what's on your hooks at a glance.

📷 Adding photos

Open a project and scroll to the Photos section. Tap the + tile to upload one or more pictures from your device.

  • The first photo becomes the project's cover image on its card.
  • Tap any photo to view it full-size.
  • Tap the × on a photo to remove it.

📝 Notes

The Notes box at the bottom of each project is for pattern details, yarn used, or any modifications you made. It saves as you type.

🧺 Yarn Stash

Tap the Yarn Stash tab at the top, then + Add Yarn. Pick a color swatch and enter the colorway, brand, weight, yardage per skein, and how many skeins you have. It auto-totals your yardage.

Tap the × on any card to remove yarn from your stash.

Good to know: Your projects, photos, and stash are stored privately in your own browser, so they stay on your device. Clearing your browser data will erase them, and they won't automatically sync between your phone and computer.
