I am in love with the beauty of the pattern! If you have not crocheted for years, this is the easy project you\'ve been looking for, to start again. The Tartan Plaid Wash Cloths by HappyBerry has a wonderful design and is a great pattern to make while you’re watching TV or a movie because it’s the same pattern throughout but just changing colors.

This pattern comes with a lovely, easy to follow video tutorial. To watch the video tutorial, please go to the next page.

  1. I have ready access to Peaches & Creme cotton yarn. Is this the same as the yarn you used? Also, what is the US equivalent for the hook? Looking at the video, seems like the hook may be larger and the yarn lighter. Can you help please???

    1. Hi Sharon, this is from HappyBerry’ site:

      All my patterns are in US terminology.

      You will need;
      DK/Light worsted weight 100% cotton yarn in white (of course you don’t have to use white but white here is the base colour)
      DK/Light worsted weight 100% cotton yarn in two alternate colours
      3.0mm crochet hook or similar
      Yarn needle
      Scissors

      Finished item using suggested materials makes a 11″ x 10.5″ wash cloth approx.

      For more details please check here: http://happyberrycrochet.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/how-to-crochet-tartan-plaid-wash-cloths.html

      Hope this helps! 😉

  2. This patter is fairly easy, except for the constant changing of colors. The slip stitch across that makes the pattern is time-consuming, also. All that being said, this is not a speedy project, but the end result is lovely.

  3. How come I never seem to crochet anything for myself??? I only crochet stuff for others… Not that I mind… But I have NOTHING that I’ve crocheted… Not a single thing!!!!!

  4. Hi….I love these dishcloths and can’t wait to get started. Can anyone tell me what brand yarn they used? Thanks so much for any help!
