    1. Please don’t ever knot then cut your yarn at the knot! I’ve received granny squares, from swaps, that are finished this way. It becomes a waste really. I finish my squares similar to this but leave the 6″ tail in case the recipient wants to put a border on them.

    2. I was taught to lay the color on top of the last row. About 4 inches on a color change.
      Ending a work, its just weaved into the rows after the last stitch is completed.

      Thanks for the technique, but I really loved the main red and green pattern. Is it the diamond trellis stitch? Where can I get the patter? Thanks a lot!
