  1. Am I reading the pattern for the grinch legs scarf pattern correct in supplies needed. 6 skeins of yarn for green and red; 5 skeins for white

    1. The numbers after the words super bulky weight mean the weight. Yarn is designated weight with numbers — #1 being super fine to #6 being super bulky. You probably need one skein or less for each color.

    2. IMO, the numbers represent the weight of the yarn. Average weight yarn is a 4. A 5 would be bulkier and then 6 even bulkier. You will find the number on the label. No way should this pattern take 6 skeins of green.

    3. I used 1 skein of the green. I didn’t count the rows, just used up the yarn. You hardly use any white or red, so 1 of each color is plenty.

  2. I’m going to attempt to translate those feet into a knit pattern, unless someone already has, then I’d appreciate a copy of the pattern

  3. If I double the instructions, i.e. 8 sc’s would be 16 sc’s, would that work to use a standard weight of 3 rather than 6? It is becoming rather difficult to find this year in this weight and colors. Not sure how to translate to a smaller yarn.
