    1. Phyllis , the pattern is always linked to the name of the pattern OR you can find it just below the picture where it says: Check out the original source for this pattern with all the directions and full written pattern at …..followed by the proper link. Hope this helps!

      1. I cant get to the pattern tried several times. takes me to AXS. where can I get it even if Ihave to pay for it. You should have a link directily to the pattern and not all this drama trying to get it. Please help.

        1. Hi Paula, sorry for the late answer, I was not sure what’s happening. Indeed, the Examiner site redirects to AXS starting a few days ago. Apparently, they took the Examiner site down, therefore the patterns are not available for the moment. I redirected the links to ravelry where the designer has her own page and I guess for now we’ll just wait to see where this pattern is going to be made available, hopefully pretty soon. Sorry for the inconvenience, will update asap. Thank you!

  1. This is actually what it is. Scroll down and you’ll see how to do the “mixed grit stitch.” The pattern uses this stitch and a discontinued yarn, so if you want to closely replicate the picture, use a bulky yarn and the size hook that’s called for on the yarn label.

  2. Have you done any of the CAL’s ( crochet along) I stumbled on them last week. They post sections of the pattern every 2 weeks and then you have time to do the motifs before the next part. Check out Stylecraft. Com they come out of the U.K. And there is even a FB page so you can share your progress and discuss any questions you have with others all over the world.

  3. You can search on ravelry.com for “done in a jiffy” baby blanket. I have this same pattern on Pinterest but when I followed the link it will not open for me either and I know that I have printed it from there myself.

  4. Oh, it’s a perfectly good stitch pattern. I guess I was referring to the fact that the pattern itself isn’t really necessary.
    I was also being pretty snarky. Maybe I was having a bad day?

  7. Yes, it does help. Thank you for responding. I was getting a little frustrated there. I’ve gotten familiar with your page and I really do like it very much. It’s my favorite crochet page. DailyCrochet.co

  8. Click on Daily Crochet.com and scroll down to Marie Anne St. Jean on Examiner link then scroll down to the pattern. Just completed it. Blanket is beautiful! Wish I had the pattern for the hat!.

    Size M (9.0 mm) crochet hook

    NOTE: There was a disparity in the hook size that has been corrected. The pattern calls for an M hook with the bulky yarn.

    Abbreviations

    Ch = chain

    St = stitch
    SC = single crochet

  10. I tried to find that particular yarn to make this, but Lion Brand discontinued this yarn. Is there another yarn that is comparable to it? If so, please let me know. Thanks. I want to make it for my niece who is expecting her first child.

  11. This is my Mom’s baby blanket, afghan, scarf, etc pattern and it’s 45 yrs old. Mom made this for all our children, and all our grandchildren. I’ve been making this is all sizes for over 30 yrs myself.
